Phase & Neutral

There are mainly 3 wires used for wiring:-
1. Phase
2. Neutral
3. Earth

Phase wire is live wire that contains current, neutral wire has no voltage, current, earth wire is used for human safety from shock.

What is Resistance?

Resistance is the property of a substance which oppose the flow of current through it. resistance measured in ohms. represented by R. measured by ohm-meter . the reciprocal of resistance is called conductance.

What is Current?

In simple words current is the flow of electron through a conducting path or material. its also a flow of electrical charge through a conducting material. Current is of two types:-
1. AC
2. DC
1. AC means Alternating current that changes its direction and intensity regular.
2. DC is direct current, its shown by name that the electron in this moves in one direction i.e. called direct current.

In homes we use alternating current, because of it is more useful and there is less cost to transmit AC.
Current measured in Ampere (amp) and its symbol is I. measuring instrument ampere meter.

What Is voltage?

Voltage is the potential difference b/w two points i.e. ( Phase and Neutral). The unit of the voltage is 'volt' & it is represented by the letter 'V'. It is measured by Voltmeter.

What is Electricity?

1. The scientist's definition: "Electricity" means only one thing: it's the electrons and protons, the electric charge.
Examples: CURRENT OF ELECTRICITY. QUANTITY OF ELECTRICITY. COULOMBS OF ELECTRICITY.
2. The everyday definition: "Electricity" means only one thing: the electromagnetic field energy sent out by batteries and generators.
Examples: PRICE OF ELECTRICITY. KILOWATT-HOURS OF ELECTRICITY.
3. The grade-school definition: "Electricity" means only one thing: it refers to the flowing motion of electric charge.
Examples: "CURRENT" ELECTRICITY. AMPERES OF ELECTRICITY.
4. "Electricity" means only one thing: it refers to the amount of imbalance between quantities of electrons and protons.
Example: "STATIC" ELECTRICITY. DISCHARGE OF ELECTRICITY.
5. "Electricity" is nothing other than the classes of phenomena involving electric charges.
Examples: BIOELECTRICITY, PIEZOELECTRICITY, TRIBOELECTRICITY, THERMOELECTRICITY, ATMOSPHERIC ELECTRICITY ...ETC.
