In simple words current is the flow of electron through a conducting path or material. its also a flow of electrical charge through a conducting material. Current is of two types:-
1. AC
2. DC
1. AC means Alternating current that changes its direction and intensity regular.
2. DC is direct current, its shown by name that the electron in this moves in one direction i.e. called direct current.
In homes we use alternating current, because of it is more useful and there is less cost to transmit AC.
Current measured in Ampere (amp) and its symbol is I. measuring instrument ampere meter.
